i also try to fill up as much space when i make ambient beats like this
some irl-sounding side snares (with pannning) would work well for this

no yeah i threw stereo on a few different aspects of the song, i mainly try to find pockets of space for each individual sound so that it fills the space up. panning drum sounds to sound a little more like theyre coming from a real kit, letting ambience be wider in the mix to sound like its more around you with the bass just in front of it. i do a lot of experimenting each time i work on a track though
