This is the completed version. I hit a wall while trying to tune some of the notes correctly, so I couldn't go crazy with melodies and chords like I wanted to, but in the end, things turned out quite alright. I also learned that I can make basses and growls with a single sample although it's probably common knowledge to those of you who are super into sound design. I don't know how to explain it, but it makes me think of using a wavetable

When Virtual Riot made the absolute masterpiece that is Death by Amen, he started this small movement to make music using only an amen break, typically ONLY with notes on the piano roll. I decided to see if I could hop on in Audiotool, but I decided to just use the sample itself plus some effects. It's definitely not as impressive as using one instance of the same amen with the piano roll only, I just wanted to do my own thing.

  • talk about flow! every drum pattern has the perfect groove

  • Oh no. Hes going to take over BREAKCORE NOW! D:

  • This is really cool! I think you did a really great job with it, despite your not being able to tune the notes like you wanted to. It's kind of hard and time-consuming to find that perfect tone, if you can, and when you do, it's gotta be stretched and boosted and all that whatnot.

I really like what you did here though. It feels like a natural progression from the original, and the growls really add a lot, and blend quite well.

Keep it up! You should be quite proud! Great job <3

  • i want to remix this so badly

  • my jaw dropped when i heard 0:19

  • i tried to make something like this but failed horrendously, this is honestly so impressive (i cant stop glazing)

  • the creativity and patience you'd have to get to make something like this with just amen breaks holy christ
