This is my remix of the song "Paradise" by Coldplay. I would love feedback (especially on the vocals, I can publish a version without vocals if they are too apalling). Not sure if I am allowed to remix this (due to copyright), if I am violating anything please let me know so I can take this song down.

Thanks to Ultimate Guitar tabs, Sparklesparkle for tabbing this song, Coldplay for making an awesome song! and Steven for singing this in physics :)

Special dedication to Jessie :) and to Mr.S's Period 7 AP Physics class (yes that means you Steven)

  • I really like this. I am also trying to figure out effects on user recorded vocals. Good luck with it. This sounds great though. I love that build-up at 4:40

  • don´t panic

    you did your own version

    leave it like that

    "Para-para-paradise!"

  • Thanks man! wow thank you so much for the advice! I will definetly keep that in mind if I decide to do another song with vocals in it (i might not ever do that though haha)

  • vocals aren't horrible

were this a more acoustic song, they'd probably sound pretty good

the obvious thing would be to apply a mild lowpass filter to 'em

if you want them to be a bit more distant/less focal, the lowpass is a MUST

and then you could play around a bit with other stuff, flanger, chorus, until you get a better sound

  • thank you! :)

  • I thought I favorited this last night? Anyway, perfectly covered :D Coldplay <3

  • thanks for the feedback! I was waiting for some more constructive critisism on the vocals!

  • alright that's a good idea! yeah the mic i use is pretty terrible so if I ever record vocals again I'll try editing them to get them to sound good. On this one I didn't really have the patience to do that...I just wanted to get them on the track since recording them was a pain. Yeah they aren't very strong, but I didn't really want the vocals to be the focal point in the song, more of a background addition

  • The music sounds cool, but you are right about the vocals. They aren't very smooth, and aren't recorded well, and it's pretty week. What I recommend doing to the vocals is editing it a bunch, and putting it though various filters to make it sound cool.

That's what I usually do, since I don't have a super good quality USB microphone, and my voice sounds terrible when I sing anyways, so I usually put it though a bunch of filters and stuff to make it sound cool.

  • Ok I will TedBeatz! Give me a like a week and I'll publish a version without vocals (I have to try to finish electric love...in one day, and other stuff) thanks :) and youre welcome!

    Thanks Paolo Palacios!

  • Real cool!

  • Great song by the way; you should defiantly release a version without the vocals though :) (Not that I don't like the vocals, just that it would be cool to have a version without them). And thank you for getting back to me!

  • Thanks abstract!

TedBeatz to answer your question, it was a pain in da flank. I just used a crappy mic at my house to record the vocals in audiotool. Then I had to manually adjust the bpm so that the pitch wouldn't change too much. And thank you :)

  • Question: How did you add the vocals so perfectly?

  • awesome awesome synth work around 0.58 on thats a SICK synth
