Now i havent looked inside the draft, but could it be that he has added a multiband preset on his master without adjusting the knobs to fit the specific sound design in this track? If so it would be an easy fix just turning the highpass/mid filter to a more respectable setting.

Yeah, kinda, but when the highpass sweep transition happens, u can notice the highpass more clearly...
