  • I use detune and stereo enhancer on hats, snares, claps, and open hat. Im going for a certain sound. some of the great trap producer i looked up too on here used a similar method i just havent figure it out yet. i used flang on the synth along with detune.

  • Flanger for drums adds a lot of detail and a nice tremolo effect imo.

Just don’t over do it and you’ll be fine

  • i notice that you add detune with your drums

    how's that beneficial for them?

    • I don’t understand how people are gonna tell you how to produce , if you can make it work then yea, put detune on some drums. I’ve used it for my hats , and snares came out just fine. Kicks on the other hand .. that’s a negative. But it’s totally up to you to use.

    • i level my drums or sidechain if neccessary

    • Drums, especially with trap, are supposed to be tight and a little punchy. When you add detune, that takes away the punchiness, and usually makes drums sound like they were recorded on a broken microphone and then played back on an old and dusty record player

  • Nice g

  • Honestly, now that im listening with good headphones, i can hear u not only used a sdetune, but also a flanger. Do this for synths, not drums

    • I do that on purpose. I don't do that for kick and 808. Ive seen hvd do that but alot lighter than what i did

  • im funny about how sounds are pushed out. to me it sounds like everything is played down a narrow space so i widen the sound and space parts out

  • Bit too much distortion on the kick, but noice
