Apart from the bass, there isn't many padding instruments, a mid-frequency padd instrument might support the lead more, also you can use the slope tool to apply highpass and remove lower frequencies from everything that is higher frequency than the bass and kick, this will remove mud from the mix and help higher range instruments become more clear. This is just my two cents, I am an amateur at best, hopefully I helped somewhere in there :D
