about 7 years agototally dislike the crash (and the reversed counterpart) maybe it needs to be cleaned up (also pitched up?) a little, as it seems quite harsh for chillout dnb. the pad itself could be a bit phatter/wider/all-consuming as it seems to be the most carrying element in this song. also, it stands quite alone in the first minute, spicing it up with some atmospheric fx would be good i think.

about 7 years agowhen it starts living (dat freq automation or whatever it is) it becomes very likeable. the drums are quite problematic because a) the one-shots sound weak (and a bit randomly chosen? ;)) and b) the beat isnt flowing (grooving / rolling) when it's fully developed. i think some more ghost note snares and / or more 1/16 hats could really help to flow.

about 7 years agofinally, the bass. i reeeeeally enjoy the motive it plays, especially in combination with the pads, but the sound itself just sounds flat. i guess its too powerful in the mids and too powerless in the bass section. eventually just layering it with a deep sub would help? all in all its a good song (which seems you put together really fast ;)) that just lacks some more sound decisions. i fav for pad+bass melody combo, and the overall good mellow feel.
