this started out as a draft where i was experimenting with bass sounds, but then it just turned into a full track. I feel like I could still touch up the basses a good bit and add some more ear candy, but ive been working on this track for so long Im just burnt out on it

okay wow there's actually a lot to talk about here. This is a very different vibe than what I was expecting. I thought this was gonna go more trap but you landed on a cool dub hybrid of sorts. those barks at 01:34 are so fucking sickkkkkk, although I might recommend adding a higher frequency layer to really round out the clarity and texture of the sound.
I don't have enough time to open this up and go into detail, but I love this style.I l love the vibe of a sunset set or just anything dub

You sound exactly like me. That is the exact same problem I keep running into myself, especially when it starts to take a long time to work on something. Sometimes it's best to walk away from it for a while if that's the case. Sometimes it's better to stick with it. I found that I personally work a bit better under pressure so setting a deadline for myself can be motivating. That’s what Steve Miller (Lite) is. That was my first idea for this draft that didn’t fit too well imo. If you listen to Steve Miller (Lite) closely, it’s the same drums and fx samples lol

Usually I’ll make half of a song that does fit pretty well. Then I’ll make another idea that usually doesn’t fit too well, then get impatient and just say ‘fuck it’ and just pub it so I can move on xD

god i would love that! Ive been really inspired by a lot of the artists on audiotool making bass songs like this lately. I am a bit of a perfectionist, so i will take my time to put out the best i can. I'm still not entirely satisfied with some of the sound design in this track, but i like it enough to wanna share it with yall :)

All I have to say is that some high end in the percussion can be ever slightly shrill, and then the sort of high end white noise around 00:14 could be turned down
but this is really good nonetheless, fucking amazing prod
