yeah, it would be cool to see how you do it when you can show me! and as far authenticity goes, i do try to keep my music unique when i can, but the things you learn from other people can be expanded on and turned into something that fits the style of what you're doing, and that's kinda what i look for when getting advice from others; i personally believe its good to take something you like, and make it something you love

so even from a mixing standpoint i kinda see it as a spectrum where you have client or virtual riot and their clean mixes but also you have sim and roy and voyd with their ass mixes the idea of a good and bad mix in my opinion is a harmful way to see music

and its more than just music i apply that to my life as a whole i think with the current age of information and the internet culture is so dead because of how connected we are people are looking for authenticity over an aesthetic so i think now more than ever is the world perfect for being yourself

i think its important to just have confidence in your mixing because in turn it’ll give you a sense of the what u want i remember for a long time i was so upset with my mixes and songs that i would hop around a lot because different people always had diff critiques on my stuff but i think just learning that all i can do is be myself and do what la important to me will people start to recognize you because they won’t be saying “this is leroy but worse” instead they see a unique artist

i dont really remember but i think just combining all your mixing knowledge together to obtain the sounds u want is how i got this sound specifically puting sharp eq before a distortion and just gently eqing the stuff i dont like in the synth out and also putting lots of processing on the master is what i think did it obtain the sound

specifically, how to get all that high end stuff you have happening here, ive never been good at it
