I'm a semi-retired engineer/producer living on the east coast of Canada. As an ex-ProTools ninja, I continue to experiment and explore music and audio from the safety of my home work space. When a performer or song sends that creative voice in my head into overdrive, I'll fire up the flavor of the day DAW and mash some audio around until I have succeeded in capturing whatever it was that first inspired me.
Or I get bored.
Or I realize I've been nudging bits of a drum loop around by 0.10dB for the last three hours and have completely lost any reasonable perspective.
It's brilliant now that I can be creative, walk away from something and not feel forced to hyper-edit a track to death in a vain attempt to please all the people, all the time.
Whatever.
