it takes a bit of research...it's important to know the natural EQ range of a piano.. most favor mid frequencies.. if you don't EQ it properly, you won't hear the sound you want.
Bahaha nope, there's no way to make a piano sound out of a tonematrix.. an authentic sounding whistle, yes most definitely.. but not really a piano. Like @amoeba said, you will have to play around with one of the synths ( I hate heisenberg but I've come close with a pulv). You have to play around with triangle and square-ish waves, 50%-40% filter frequences, adjust your synth to heavy mid EQ frequencies, and play with noise and release times
i saw your comment about making the tonematrix sound like a piano. i bet @tophat has a WAY better suggestion for making it from scratch, but you can just string it through a heisenberg (using the "Note" inputs and outputs) and then modifying the preset in the heisenberg to make it sound like a piano or load a piano preset. other than that, youd have to experiment with effects and such. but dont listen to me....@tophat is WAY more experienced than i am! :)
