I'm either rlly unhinged or the smartest in the room and to be fair I just put up an "incompetent" facade amongst SOME my annoying ass peers to disguise my knowledge. only time I can reveal it is when I talk to adults lmao
i did the same thing in middle school and when i went into high school i just consciously decided to stop having a facade and no one ever commented on it and i felt better about myself. im sure people noticed, but it was a necessary step, even if i felt like i didnt speak up as much as i wanted to freshman year. could work for you too. what helped was that i never had the facade with my group of three friends so i had a good stable grounding there i knew i could maintain
also why the fuck are my closest online friends older than me like I'm gonna go into high school soon and then I am friends with 20 year olds + my teachers (not in a weird way tho)
