yes. it is. but making a mix is just stealing samples and put them together. composing is a bit diffrent it's making a melody or so. and BTW u can do much better if u make your own synths bycuz u can adapt it more and make the transitions not so rough. anyway try to make your own synths and go on like this. (make a song with synths and I will follow you. )
