Hey bro - i only write on my piano - once i write a melody or element of the track, i take the music and transpose it to the sequencer using infthusion's one shot piano samples - if you type "inf piano" you'll get all the keys ... then you can use what you will to enhance the sound but that's basically it so no it's not live performance but it is original score - let me know if you need more :)
i just use the piano roll in the app, works fine for me. not sure midi would be too useful with the lag from larger tracks, but i'd like to give it a try sometime

Im sure It does need midi. I'd ask someone that uses one though, I don't use my keyboard for audiotool at the moment
would probably be more convenient to remix the original, but i suppose you've already got a good start on it
