I dont want to sound like every other person on here but i really wish they brought back the sample uploader, i want to do a bunch of stuff with my own piano recordings and textures. But what are ya gotta do. And you're definitely right about not playing it safe. Keep up the sick work man.

yeah i think this is probably the #1 misconception of budding producers. there is no such thing as mastering a genre from what i can tell. there is only your experience, your skill, and your judgement. that last one - being able to listen objectively and critically - is what people confuse as being mastery, but in reality it is applicable to all genres and styles.

For sure, but the thing is, is that it would be cool to master a few genres and expand on them, but so far I just wing most of my tracks and make them up as I go along lol.

maybe woulda looked for something a little more out there with a remix imo, your piece doesn't take advantage of the musical ideas nearly as well as it could
