arche3.0
Joshua Kasper
arche3.0 must be one of the most unconventional Artists in the Audiotool community. His eruptive fusion of Retro Electro, Jazz and also elements of contemporary music like Drum and Bass and Electro Pop is without competition on Audiotool and can be attributed to him within a fraction of a second. At the moment things have quietened down around him a bit but that's no excuse for you not to give this explosive mixture a try.

- Musical Style
- My main style is retro electronic music. I look to find nostalgia in my music and touch on earlier styles of electronic music of the 80's and 90's. I also often dabble in jazzy harmonies.
- Musical Background
- I started playing piano in high school at around 16. I took lessons for about a year and a half from a jazz musician. He taught me how to read and understand music theory, so that when I was no longer taking lessons I could read and teach myself a lot about how music worked. This is where I got my understanding of jazz theory. To make the most of my knowledge I needed a site like Audiotool where my physical performance limitations were not a problem and I could concentrate on composition, voicing and sound design. I do miss playing my old Czerny exercises though.
- Started making music
- I started making compositions of music when I started on Audiotool. Prior to that I mostly just played around with sounds and played other people's music. Audiotool gave me the ability to think beyond one instrument and sound and allowed me to learn more about composition and flow of a track. I learned a lot from listening to fellow Audiotool artists as well as listening to music of the 80's and other Nu Disco and retro artists.
- On Audiotool
- I discovered Audiotool around the end of the summer in 2010. I was looking for a place that would allow me to make music electronically because I wasn't able to really play on my keyboard much. I did a search online for places to make music and Audiotool came up. After listening to the artists for a while, I gained enough confidence to try the instruments for myself. It took some time to get used to synthesizers for me, but with perseverance I found a sound that resonated with me and I think others in the community.
- Message to the community
- Audiotool is a blessing for me as it allowed me to do what I've always wanted to do as a kid. I've even put out albums, which was a dream of mine. I don't care about popularity, but want to find like minded listeners. So for others I say, don't make music for everyone else to like, but make music for yourself. Others with like minds will find you and support you as you find your own sound. Audiotool has a community that is encouraging and helpful and a great place to find yourself.
