Fauko
Tom Davis
Fauko aka Pedestrian is one of the few Audiotool one man bands. His compositions are influenced mainly by the Synthpop of the 1980s whereby the pleasant timbre of his voice makes its own contribution to their authenticity and evokes memories of bands like 'Depeche Mode' and 'Camouflage'. Not only fans of the early electronic Pop music will get their money's worth.

- Musical Style
- Whatever comes naturally. My last couple of published tracks (last one from fauko and first one from pedestrian) could be considered Synthpop.
- Musical Background
- I sang in church as a child and throughout my youth. I also took piano lessons briefly as a child (wish I had stuck with that!) and played trumpet in school bands from age 10-18. I also played with brass ensembles at parties and events as an older teen. Oh yes, I was in a rock band for a brief period of time after graduating high school. I never studied much in terms of theory – making music was just a fun hobby for me.
- Started making music
- In terms of attempting original composition, as a young teen when I got a Casio MT 205 keyboard as a gift. It wasn't much more than a child's toy, but this was circa 1987 and about all my parents were willing to shell out for. The best thing about it was it had an output that I was able to utilize with a jack on a boombox on which I would record to an audio cassette. I would record what amounted to accompaniment and then attempt to add a solo melody with my trumpet. That lasted until I was about 19. I stopped making music completely until discovering Audiotool many years later.
- On Audiotool
- In late 2011, I was exploring the Chrome app store and ran across Audiotool. It was and remains far beyond anything I expected to find for making music online.
- Message to the community
- To the Audiotool team: Thank you for the site/DAW/community you have created and continue to develop. AT is a true gift to anyone interested making electronic music and I believe it provides value to users of any experience, from novice to pro. To the community: It is amazing to experience the music you create and share. I have been introduced to and influenced by styles of music I never would have considered listening to before joining Audiotool. I appreciate the inspiration, encouragement guidance and friendship that I have received from you.
