Tenji Tembo
For about three years now MCT has worked his way through a range of widely differing Electro styles. From House via Trance to Ambient and - inspired by his great Audiotool idol VLTRA - even New Garage. His repertoire expands from track to track. If you remind yourself that he got to know Audiotool as a musical greenhorn, his progress has been considerable so that he has made his way into the community's heart.

- Musical Style
- My style can best be described as a story: When I first started fiddling with Audiotool, I was heavy into the dubstep scene, so I focused on creating intense tracks with crazy bass-lines, under the name DJ-240. Then suddenly, everyone I knew was doing dubstep, so I sought to re-invent myself. I went from DJ-240 to MCTembo, and with that, a change of style. MCTembo focused on Ambient and Future Garage (influenced by artists such as VLTRA, Olafd, and enjoyyourshoes), which lead to the release of Simplicity EP. From there MCTembo ventured deeper into pure ambience, with the release of Isolation and Depths EP. After my foray with Ambience and Future Garage, I began to experiment again. It was around the time trap was up and coming, as well as my discovery of Deep House (thanks to Cihangir, and Mikel Boyles aka Nowaii) ending with the release of Future House EP as MCT. Who knows what the future holds?
- Musical Background
- I have a fairly light musical background, stemming mainly from piano lessons as a young child. I did about 3-4 years of lessons, as well as a year experimenting with other various instruments.
- Started making music
- I really got into making music when I discovered Audiotool, as they provided the platform and the tools to make whatever ran through my imagination, and translate my inspirations into melodies others can enjoy.
- On Audiotool
- Remember Burn Studios? I discovered Audiotool during their Sasha Remix Competition. #Throwback. I wonder what happened to them lol
- Message to the community
- You guys are amazing. I've never seen such a vibrant and diverse community such as Audiotool. The ability to make, share, learn, and grow as musicians via the internet is a blessing to be had. The feeling of elation you get when you discover the next best thing (like that time I found Intracktion and Claine) and want to shout it out to the rest of the world, it's moments like those that make me excited to use the site. Keep making music. Keep inspiring me. And maybe, just maybe, I'll do one more EP :p
