This is my favourite track that I've made in quite some time.
The toll of our contemporary wars is immeasurable, while it's nothing in comparison to how the poor souls in Palestine feel or our neighbours in the Ukraine on the fronts, it wears me down a lot.
The first part is that. The violence and death. My own feeling of doom and powerlessness.
Then, it was more a happy accident, but the second half turns that around. That's power. I included a sample of a crowd clapping and whistling in there, and I imagined people taking to the streets to systemically combat this. At that point I knew I had to record or somehow recreate a crowd shouting the phrase.
