Had a pretty good idea of what I wanted to do with this from the start.

-

Squaring it up from the original 3/4 (or 6/8, idk) to 4/4 made the guitar unusable unfortunately. I had to bring the piano out to be more prominent in the mix but I think this worked really nicely.

-

The choice of percussion was inspiring and I love the beats I "cooked up", as the kids would say.

-

Fun to do some vocal chops, been a while since I did that.

-

And all the main elements came together in one day! Love it when that happens. A bit of tinkering over the last week and I'm really proud of the end result!

Thanks for the stems, Po9t. Had a fun time with this one!

  • TY for the honourable mention!

  • really love the vibe, especially the crushed square synth toward the end

though is the original really in 3/4? I figured it was in 4/4 still but with a triplet feel, which I guess in the guitar's case kinda sounds like 12/8

    • Pshh, you're probably right. Been a long time since I did any music theory!

  • love this

  • Wowzers

  • You dev cooked the beats up

  • GAHHH THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED MY ENTRY TO SOUND LIKE THIS IS SO GOOD
