  • How did this get over 1,000 plays, that's what I don't understand

    • cuz you doin that work! You're talking to people, engaging the community, asking for crit, and building a rep! Keep it up, you're doing great! :)

  • 00:26 until the beat drops. I might be wrong but that snare pickup sounds like it's off beat, and then when the beat drops (the other sounds come in) it sounds like it's on the upbeat, if that makes sense? I think it would be better if the snare came in on the down beat and then followed with an increase in tempo until the drop.

    • again, the second drop feels off beat, correct me if I'm wrong but it sounds like it comes in on the upbeat, which feels off. the last half of the song, again, has no difference when compared to the first. there's no new sounds or anything new in terms of mixing really save for a few drums fills or minor changes in tempo

    • When the drop hits, I i8mmediately hear the bassline machine in it's default sound preset. Idk if anyone still likes hearing this sound, but regardless, I don't think it fits in this track.

again, your transitions need work everywhere. 01:10 and then it just drops off. The next part feels like a totally different song at first. Eventually it comes around to feeling like the same song, but the notes in that transition don't adequately deliver the vibe I think you're trying to maintain

Refined the bass because the lower frequencies lacked a bit of power. I also boosted the kickdrum.

  • interesting sound design

    • Thank you

    • i like it

    • those plucks that come in every other measure around 30 seconds remind me of the N+ soundtrack (a game i had on my xbox 360 a long time ago)

  • sounds noticeably muted, but i think thats mostly bc of the kick

    • I don't really notice the difference because the kick has a different pitch.

    • I think it's the low end boosted on the kick. Also it's the style of the kick.
