Snowblossom Village

Deep in the tundra, you happen to find a village full of flowers sprouting up from the ice. The creatures there are kind and gentle. They let you rest and heal before your journey goes on. They are gentle, but you realize they are not defenseless when the sun falls. A night creature attacks, running through the street, snapping at a guard, but the guard dodges, frozen spikes burst from the ground, scaring it away. Astonished by the display of magical prowess, you ask the guard where they learned to fight. "Oh, y'know, we all fight here, learn it in school." You mention they seem very good at it. "Aw, thanks, mate! I'm definitely not th' strongest o' us though, heck, some o' th' kids're better at this than me. It's a good skill t' have though, bein' able t' fight." The guard looks out at the frozen lands, squinting at something moving and holding up a frosty hand in warning. "Anyway, run along, get some rest, traveller. I'm sure ya got adventures ahead o' ya in th' mornin'."
