i did the dreaded "posting something outside of audiotool" thing but just felt like showing a strings attempt i did in fl studio which is probably my best one honestly lol- trying to practice my string skills since im wanting to make an ost for a story i've been writing and of course my goal is to make my ost as gloomy and melancholy as possible so YAY but what do y'all think tho lol i think i should've just posted the audio on my wall instead of doing this but meh

haunting, like you want to see the beauty in it but its clouded in tension
the silent tears of a nameless woman trapped in the canvas of watercolor and haint blues; holding lavender lilies she never asked to hold; sitting in front of a lush sunset she never wanted to see
when it comes to fl i tried to use it, but i am quite dumb and still using that streamlined mobile app given you can do a lot with it but the base assets are still quite limited after hearing this, somewhat considering getting back to it
Guess I've been undervaluing those cellos. They sound great.
well considering this was completely random, i didn't really have a "goal" here other than making what i was farting out sound gub in my ears, and im surprised other blokes found it pleasing to listen to as well AAAA that can be said for a lot of my orchestral stuff- i just do whatever for practice and dont really think about goals- when i think less about them, i actually get more productive cause im just following whatever my head thinks is best lol
Personally would choose a more audible melodic motif or theme, not sure if I just can't hear it. But it clearly sets the mood and atmosphere.
:3 I see remix potential
Is there a vibrato or expression control that can be modulated? Anytime i did a score with omnishere or kontact, that was the sauce to help it sound organic! I used to play violin, so I'm also focused on little details like that.
apparently the vibrato happens when you make the note last longer, so the expression and vibratos are already there depending on how long you make the note Xd
nothing was modulated other than the volume itself i used spitfire lab's cello moods (g wistfulness) for this im telling you right here and now naswalt all of this was random and i just went with what sounded epic to me Xd
I wish this was possible in AT fr
knowing how you managed to do so well with replicating a violin in your own manner on AT that took years of improvising, im sure you can be able to create something somewhat similar here i know i wouldn't have the patience xD
this has a very cinematic feel to it almost feels like it belongs in a movie
yeah im continuing my practices on orchestrating strings since I do wanna achieve that cinematic feel as much as I can xd maybe not for a movie but for like a game or some sort of project where music can become the central focus of it or something idk gnrnhth but thank u tho :'>
holy hecking HECK my first #1 in MONTHS MONTHS AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA i really wasnt expecting people to actually give attention to this i gnrjhnh ;_;
very nice! you mean you did these with vst / samplers?
o nevermind im big dumb dumb
wistfullness? can't see a plugin called that .. tried searching as well on google
yus, i used the spitfire labs vst and the instruments i used was cello mood, gm wistfulness (wistfulness helps a lot with the added f l a v o r) xd
Holy shit I'm in the firelink shrine bro WHAT
