lol i fuckin dig this. i think later in the track some of your percussion is questionable and it gets a bit empty. but all in all cool adaptation to the op's sample.
Mother of God
Love the raw synths!
the guitar is creamy
As in it made me cream my pants
this is not sim where are the overly distorted drums
all i have a problem with is when everything is super distorted and shrill
they weren't overly distorted, they were just... crunchy
oh my god you crushed that bassline
wish the intro was used a little more
deadmau5 seeya vibes
this just makes me want you two to collab again
youre so cool
how to edgy properly
ngl this is really good though
holy fuck this is so good
Neato, I like.
is a really cool effect, but I feel like it should be predominantly on the upbeat to contrast with everything else. Helps keep the beat from slogging.
Slogging is the feeling of your feet being really heavy as you have to push through something like snow or water. I use it because it has the same idea where the beat starts to feel weighed down. If too many lines are too square on the beat, it loses some of that nimbleness and forward momentum that personifies jazz, funk, baroque, etc. Syncopation can help alleviate that, which is why often Jazz musicians say the most important beats to get right are really 2 and 4, not 1 and 3.
can you define slogging please haha
Depending on how it was done, though, that could lead to a really messy effect chain so I don't really know
