The day after I left my label, I was struggling to retain the rights to my music and tearing down everything I’ve been building up for so long. I remember starring out the window wanting to not be alive, literally feeling like I would be better off dead. Mom interrupted my train of thought and simply asked me “what’s wrong” and I didn’t know what to say… so I said “nothing.”
