It's been a minute since Ive seen a track blow up so much on At.
Congrats, Def deserved it too, I definitely love that first drop and the fills, make my brain dance. Though i Do feel some parts are too crunchy but all in all very very good
okay so I think what I'm gonna say is going to sound kinda mean so I need to preface with this first comment by saying I actually really love this track and think it's something I literally could not do myself which is a rare feeling these days. I have never heard anything like this on AT and it's maybe in the top 2 or 3 dubstep tracks I've heard on the site period
honestly the mixing might as well be perfect imo, it feels so deliberately excessively crunchy but that's what makes it so good
to your credit I definitely agree about the blowouts, it definitely works here and I'd even be as bold to say it should be expected of this track to blow up like that
things that happen when you compress a master and let sounds interact with eachother, but I definitely understand where you're coming from.

Thank you two for your awesome feedback! I agree with you kiari, after publishing the track and sitting with it for a while the first half of the second drop always disappoints me. I thought the shock value would have carried it, but it kinda really does sound like ass. I also agree I shouldn't have published a preview.
Regarding the blown-out bass transitions and your comments Le Voile: that was a creative choice and I know it is (or can be) off-putting. I personally like the strange (cont.)
All in all, again, not trying to be mean or overly critical. I think this is a really good piece, and because it's so good, I think that is exactly what makes people like me want to offer critique. We think it's good, and it can be great, and we wanna see you get there. If you ever need any help or opinions on anything, feel free to hmu :) I'm no pro, but I'll be helpful however I can and I'll always be honest <3
this fluctuation in itself is perhaps what the biggest issue seems to be.
You have a lot of different sounds in here and they're all gonna react somewhat differently to that effect, and so sometimes you have to go in and apply effects to each sound individually and tweak their dry/wet values or some such so that it's not over applied.
the boom at - is one such area. The drop then comes in and it's actually kind of good. I think your mixing is superb, and your choice of sounds is really cool. Everything is cohesive and fits together, but then we get to the break at and that crushed 808 (to me) isn't very pleasing. It also sounds like your noise/atmos might be crushed? It all just sounded too much, but then by it's fine again.
Not to pile on, but I agree with a few kiari points. I like what you trying to do with the crunchiness of the track as a whole, but I think maybe some parts are just a little to crunched, and it becomes a negative.
First sign of this is your waveform. I've seen some square waveforms. but even things like riddim have breaks, and you can't even tell where the breaks are here.
This would be very difficult to mix blind in a live environment if you're the modern DJ who uses track visualizers
here's where it falls a little for me; I think you shouldn't have published a preview at all because what ended up happening is you made the greatest preview of all time that couldn't have possibly lived up to
in other words I was very disappointed by what came next, the crushed bass and its entire flow just doesn't sound very good at all imo that second drop falls so flat for me because of it
or at least it would except that INSANE synth at is maybe the best thing I have ever heard
