@at_nation. The 808 is famous because of it's kick drum, which has that familiar low rumble (as well as its other sounds). It has a long history alongside old school hip hop, and when the trap scene started in the southern U.S, it was a popular drum machine. not generally. I know a Doepfer 404 as well. And Roland has other synthnames too. But 101 - 909 is a famous series of synths and drumcomputers

a 303 is a classic synth from ROLAND which is the most important synth in Acid production. Our Bassline 3 is a clone of that one
