it's stale because we're creators and we see the simplicity behind the magic of it all, that which attracts so many people to it; lo fi has blown up in the past few years and mainstream audiences won't proclaim it dead for a while. as for us, most genres are dead, because we're surrounded by people who teach themselves how to make these things and can drive them into the ground. thats basically just art tho lmao
