Like the star wars reference and the lyrics but i dont like how you missed out on a few more references to star wars A Padawan but tags along tags along in what? thats the real question. also if you are reading this and you know nothing about a padawan heres a breakdown - Padawan are students of jedi in star wars they have been training their force skills for many years until they are strong enough to fight for themselves

He took the words right out of my mouth. This song is basically about improvement, working hard, and moving on and having the ability to learn knew things. But for me personally i wrote the rhyme padawan and tag along Because i used to feel left out and i felt like people always treated me like a 3 wheel But poets explanation made waayyyy more sense But now that i think about it padawan and tag along doesn't make that much of a good bar.

The over all arching theme of the song is talking about working hard (specifically in music but can be applied to anything) and not buckling to pressure of self doubt, ability, or who around you is watching. The hook (to be interpreted) talks about comparing being a musician to being a “Padawan” whilst honing your own skills. “Been doin beats for to long, now your homie write a song” as in saying ‘I’m expanding my horizon and stepping out of my comfort zone a bit.
