any variation is good variation ;) i originally asked this cause you have real potential man, you have a solid grasp on impressive synthesis/sound design and how to make absolute tunes, but i dont want you to blend in with the crowd, i want you to stand out and get big for being innovative in a saturated scene y'know?

Yeah no i get it. by the time im done making a track i always think... man this doesn't really hit that hard..
I usually use really odd bass patterns to make it alittle more heavy but it doesn't always work out tbh

yeah true man its huge, all the brostep producers i follow on Insta all have massive sold out venues just for them, its mad! Like, in a live environment, heard through a fat PA system, its sick, you cant help but headbang, but for most consumers, including us producers, we're hearing the tracks on mediocre/small setups, and it kinda loses its impact after a while y'know?

tbh i really like brostep though, its not a genre to me anymore.. its become apart of my sound
i don't think i could do house or anything like that without adding brostep elements... which is why most of my stuff nowadays is more of a full flavor genre hybrid than just strictly brostep..

maybe a chance for you to branch out? Brostep is fiercely formulaic and keeps artists pumping out nearly identical tracks. If your sound is old and stale, noone is holding you back from trying something else

the UK dubstep scene is still innovating and progressing, its the US's scene thats become stale, depends what youre listening to tbh

ive been trying to do some different things with the genre, its kinda hard to really innovate a genre that really transformed in the last few 10 or so years
we went from square waves with lfo's on em to basses that are almost never the same.
