Fun trick, use any form of noise (the more harmonics the better) and run it through a comb filter at max decay, and set the note value as low as it can go. Use only one harmonic band (remove bands 2 and 3 which are on by default)
A comb filter is basically what it sounds like: a filter that creates a “comb-shaped” pattern in the frequencies it lets through or blocks.
You basically take a signal, make a delayed copy of it, and then mix that copy back with the original.
At certain frequencies, the delayed and original signals add together (boosting them). At other frequencies, they cancel each other out (removing them). They can also make nice harmonics or distortion effects at higher decay values
Curious how does a comb filter work. That setup in the draft is actually so foreign to me, I'm trying to wrap my head around how those slope pedals make that sound. It seems deactivating some messes up the whole thing.
