here is another guitar amp i've made, this time with a kind of treble booster (modelled roughly off of a 33 pedal).

to be honest all a treble booster is, is a big boost around 7khz and a shelf around 2khz. some pedals add a tiny bit of distortion to the top end (like pepper's dirty tree pedal or the fortin 33 pedal) but that's pretty much it - all you're really doing is making the high end louder.

the amp itself is an abortion of an idea i had a while ago and then scrapped because it was too much work. it is just 2 hard clippers separated by different filters. the original idea was to add stages of distortions in series for every "band" of the amplifier, but again, audiotool's EQ sucks ass, so i ended up dumbing it down by a lot. what i have now are just two "bands": a mid band and an adjustable high band.

the most infuriating part of this was the cab modelling. i REALLY tried to get a specific sound, but the minimum level of precision needed to achieve that sound just simply isn't feasible on audiotool for the sole purpose of THE eqs SUCK. i cannot describe how annoying it is to *almost* have a sound, and then 1 eq point later it sounds like complete dog shit. between the phasing issues and the absolutely *tiny* margin for error with the gains, it is next to impossible to sculpt a tone to the way that you want it to sound.

what you hear is a very compromised idea that unfortunately doesn't sound that good. i leave remix open in the hopes that someone can make the cab sound not like shit
