Decided to revisit my attempts to create a decent-sounding amp sim on audiotool, but take it a little further than before.

I attempted to recreate one of my tone presets from Amplitube 5, a relatively high-gain tone with dual cabs.

For educational purposes, I split the processing chain into four segments - preamp, amp, cab, and cleanup.

DI signals were created using Shreddage 3 Legacy (Left) and Shreddage 3 Telos (Right).

Remix is on, I encourage you to load up your own guitars and test it out!

  • Now I know how to simulate an amp. The only thing that misses is a clean guitar sounding preset

  • Nice

  • I think this has potential for industrial metal, but with some tweaks to the "cab" it could make a decent 80's thrash tone

something I'll have to play around with in the coming days

  • clean

  • bro's never heard of hard clipping

  • by the way, when I say "high-gain amp," I do mean it literally in this case - the sound is turned down almost 20 db across multiple devices. If you care about your hearing, do not disable the Gates right after the waveshapers lmao
