EQ = equalizing the sounds/balancing. This isn't as complex so it doesn't need as much, but it's very important when you've got a lot of different sounds going on a very close to the same frequencies. At that point you have to make space in some way (lower volume, change dominant frequencies (PeQ is good for that), etc...) I know really nothing about the proper technique and just pray. So far so good!
@Dis_pLAy it's always interesting to me which tracks people like because there are times when I hate a track, but it gets a lot of attention. This one I like. Not my favorite of my recent tracks, but I'm happy people respond well to it :-)
Ah, yes I layer a bit with my tracks, it is almost impossible to get the ambient sound without layering :P One thing I am horrendous with is beats though, they are a big pile of fail for me lol.
