Not sure it's quite melodic dubstep lol :/

-

Here you have it! My first attempt at Bass Music. Obviously, as more tips for improvement arrive I will adjust accordingly unless @PREPARE2QUALIFY types out another essay in which I then proceed to give up :)

-

Speaking of @PREPARE2QUALIFY this track was inspired by Heartfelt (Driven) ft. Blu Tooth , a track @PREPARE2QUALIFY and I both did on our old accounts surprisingly enough (altho @Blu 靄 but slowly fading.. is ded :/). Look, ik that this is very lightweight, probably featherweight Bass Music in the grand scheme of things, but I think this is a great first attempt!! >:)

-

Things to improve:

- The drop: I didn't try lmao I'll be working on... *SPICING* it up.

- It sounds quieter and a bit more empty than the best of the best. Might mean uhh.... *MORE SYNTHS*. Cuz honestly for a Bass Music track there needs to be a full and chonky sound. Which I kinda lack ngl.

- Growls. I have no clue how to use them but I tried to include one lol. Someone please teach me how to.

-

Please leave me feedback on how to improve, and next I'll be trying out some melodic dusbstep probably....

- After I improve Return~ (Gee, thanks @PREPARE2QUALIFY !!)

-

Enjoy! And remember to always smile!!

- Blu! :D

  • The beginning of the song needs more ambience like maybe a rainstorm fx or a vinyl thing, something that fills that space. Also for the main melody you got going, there isn't really anything going on music wise. Maybe fiddle around more with the settings until you get a satisfying sound. The synth I'm talking about is the 8 bit synth at like 00:26 I think.

    • Sounds great! You do you.

    • As much as I wanna improve my own music, I wanna help others along the way too.

    • No problem. I actually co-produce for a lot of people on this website if they need me to.

I don't even remember what I did lol, was meant to republish last night...

  • Republished

Turned the saw master volume up and cut-out the low-end.

  • Republished

Turned the overall volume up, and added a fun lil experimental bit in the middle.

    Gn!

  • the main synth needs a whole lot of low end cut out, other than that its much cleaner than the last track

that 808 and grunge bass around 1:36 is nice

  • This needs to be louder -_-

  • i will listen when i get a chance

  • Please give advice - not that heavyweight as Bass Music is supposed to be but I tried and did this all by myself!
