hats are a little distracting tho. for hats, i usually go for pretty constant 1/8 notes with 1/4-note-long 1/32 rolls on snare hits or during high impact moments. i also go for a shorter, but noisier hat sound than a (pretty close to) regular degular 808 hat.
tbh i feel like this is more of a mixing issue, because the hats are giving more energy to the track, so i feel like i need to push them further back rather than just calm them down
idk why it took me this long to realize exactly what you mean, but i just used a hat from a hat loop. I still arranged the pattern myself, but i see what you mean after coming back to this
i see now that you just used a hat loop so it makes sense but fixing them could really elevate this track.
