It took a while to get where this was though, in terms of how good it is. I used to be really bad at drum patterns, and note placement. Just open the draft and look around is the best advice I can give (That's what I used to do)

Layering different sounds also helps with the sound this track has, but make sure the sound design is roughly the same, and that the range of notes are as well

Idk, I just place down random notes for a melody until it sounds good. Then I base all by 808s, and reeses off of the root notes. I also add some counter melody parts that have a different pattern, but still the same notes. And then I work on ambience, FX, then drums lol
