The simplicity is nice though it could have some more expected variation in my opinion - some transition with a subtle bass and new high frequencies. A reverb to the kick would also be quite cool.

This is nice. However, There should be a snare not just the kick and this is optional but you can have a hi-hat playing at a constant rate the whole time.
