I feel like the effect you're getting with the opening drags on a bit. The synth is so dry that it doesn't really make sense until it's nearly finished. I'm tempted to say start slower and build up in less time. I'm not a fan of how 1:00 just goes halftime without doing anything with it. Usually that's a chance to get some interplay between different sounds and here it's just the same as before, but less rhythmically interesting. Same with 1:25 .
