Sorry if I didn't help you much but mixing is something that takes practice before you get satisfactory results. Let me know if you need anything else :)
Well honestly, I can't tell you the "right" way to mix since everyone has their own ways and techniques. My methods aren't really the best since I always put in a boatload of eq's, but it's just my way ;) Anyways, I suggest reading up on mixing (also check out subtractive eq). And check out JakeTyler's tutorial Tutorial 7: Mixing - Tips & Pointers He explains it better than I can.
It is only inspiration dude, when I come home and say to me ''What can I do this night?'' Open Audiotool and ALWAYS, listen other music, open your mind to others style and take inspiration of your favourites artis, (acording synths for example) but the most important here is ''the inspiration'' you cannot do any good track without sentiment, but the secret is the sentiment.
