I want to clarify this:
TOC was updated to be more strict and clear on what's uploaded to the site. Banning upload of AI slop that could be infringing on copyright. It was necessary to add this.
The said comp judging was unfortunately out of our hands. We were also sad that AT users didn't place but everything was done fairly and by the rules. We still host and support many other comps.
Fun fact, I originally left audiotool back in 2018 to pursue different methods of production,
what brought me back in 2019 was an app that's no longer supported at all called Audiotool Sketch, I'd make little doodles on there where at the time, a feature where I could load those loops into a draft on my account was still possible.
A lot of my early tracks on this account were made directly from Audiotool Sketch doodles.
Audiotool Sketch was part of what brought me back to the site, which is fitting because Audiotool as a whole brought me back to music production back in 2014.
