i've been on AT for over 11 years now, nowhere near as long as some others on the site but still quite awhile, and honestly, the changes to the studio just might be what causes me to leave
it's just so awkward to use for me now.
As someone who hasn't been on here for that long but used AT seriously for like 2 years.
I personally like the more recent changes because it's more similar to the DAW I've learned more in-depth (Bitwig), plus it still has its old-school feel but with more Imo.
I still wish they'd add more effects but the addition of vsts is awesome.
(Though others that don't have the vsts can't hear them which kinda ruins the collaboration side of that but I understand it.)
a lot of it isn't really missing anything, since nothing is really gone
it's just over 11 years of that built in workflow thrown out of the window that's infuriating
I'm sorry but the new studio was NOT ready, especially the VST bridge, the same bugs I was dealing with over a month ago are still happening, I can still crash the VST Bridge and studio by using the "wrong" audio driver

audiotool recently changed the TOS to allow for AI generated music to be allowed on the platform and ran a competition on the site and chose two tracks that weren't even made fully on the site as winners.
AT doesn't care about the userbase anymore, they just care about the money

I want to clarify this:
TOC was updated to be more strict and clear on what's uploaded to the site. Banning upload of AI slop that could be infringing on copyright. It was necessary to add this.
The said comp judging was unfortunately out of our hands. We were also sad that AT users didn't place but everything was done fairly and by the rules. We still host and support many other comps.
you all have been an amazing community and i genuinely appreciate all the support you've given me over these 11 years i've been on the site
but this site has gone down hill
and i no longer feel like the site is worth using anymore.

Let keep making and letting people hear a great style, Drum and Bass. This style started by LTJ Bukem never gets old. Keep up the creativity.
