Working on a track that is turning out to be my best solo track ever. You can't place it in one genre, it's a lot different from the stuff I've done before, but I've let go of any constraints I might make for myself in terms of genre and fitting to a style.
In addition, I'll most likely be adding my own vocals and guitar playing to it. Don't know exactly how the vocals are gonna go, but I'm definitely taking inspiration from Porter Robinson's work.
Anyways, it's still fairly early in production but it's really taking shape. I'm super excited to share this with y'all and it might also come with a rebrand...
Writing lyrics to a song only to realize you've taken a melody from a similar song and realize that the lyrics and melody of the original song go perfectly to your track and now you're conflicted on whether or not to make it a cover or keep it an original piece
I've seen that kinda thing on Serum tutorials where they drag the LFO oscillator onto the knob for cutoff modulation but I had no clue you could do that here with just a button
Tonight, I have learned that my girlfriend has allegedly committed suicide. We don't have a solid answer yet, but from what I have gathered from things like shutting down socials, leaving group chats on text, etc, as well as her past and current struggles with mental health leads me to believe that suicide is the most likely candidate for her very sudden silence. She has talked about it before, and being too "cowardly" to do so, but people can surprise themselves.
And no matter what happens, the light will shine again. Please do not inflict this type of pain on those around you. You are stronger than you believe, and the persistence and spirit to break through this dark time in your life is within you. Nobody can hurt your soul except for yourself. And hurting yourself is never good.
