when you do, ur mouse should have a little drag symbol. when that happens, drag the bar longer. then double click and add notes.
I made a bass double click next to the blue to add a note region. then double tap in the specific note region to create a note.

todouble click outside of the blue, then hover your mouse near the edge of the blue
then, u will see many lines, those are the notes.
its cool. So when the song is open, double click on the blue bar.
BTW listen to the bassline is it good or u wanna change it.
