Hey STAGEFRIGHT, I read your “How to rightly get your music noticed” post and wanted to ask something. If I have one track I'm particularly proud of and want to get it noticed without spamming people, what would you recommend I focus on first? I’m trying to approach promotion more through genuine community interaction rather than just throwing links everywhere.
Of course you can share your track with people you're already friends with. If you wanna promote your tracks to other people, don't just throw links with zero context. Ask for criticism and feedback (and receive them nicely).
Focus on improving your track. Once you're confident enough that your track sounds good, interact with people that are into the kind of music you're making. Like their tracks, give fair and respectful criticism to other users, follow people you're interested in, make new friends, and they might check your profile out.
