(single machiniste dub)

Total playing time: 0:15:57

(originally started as a way to push myself out of an artist block)

(turns out it's an incredibly fun way to impose limitations on yourself to bring out creativity)

(the workflow is very similar to using an old school tracker, or even a hardware sampler like this)

(it's quite fun, try it.)

  • oh man, what a crazy idea!

  • i actually love these so much, might give this a shot

    • yeah, I've gotta play around w this concept too

    • same bro!!

    • definitely give it a shot, i'm always excited to see what people could do with the limitations

  • so cool, love a good minimalist setup, necessity is the mother of invention!

  • awesome experiments and great way to get out of writer's block! The later ones sound super dope, wouldn't even tell they're just 1 mach if you didn't say!

    • oh awesome i'd love to see what you make on it!

    • yeah I've got a draft trying this out too. reminds me of my Digitakt, minus the reverb and delay sends. Even more limiting :)

    • thank you!

you can tell that i gradually got better at it as i made every track lmao

it was a lot of fun and i'd love to see what other people could do with this kind of setup.

doing this was similar to building a track on my electribe es1, the workflow feels very oldschool and it's a lot of fun to just do little doodles this way

it's also really low stakes, don't like what you've got? just clear the preset and start over
