All this time I thought clipping was when two notes or samples mixed really bad and it sounded glitchy.

Usually its referred to the red dots that light up when the volume gets too high. That goes for anything: synths, drums, master track, everything. But sometimes you can even hear it in the mixdown. itll sound like a bit of distortion where you dont want it. And trust me, i dont want any distortion in this mix
