I do want to be a professional one day. Maybe that's why my tone seems serious for that reason because I assume that when people make something it's because they're proud of it especially when they share t publicly. So based on that assumption, I tried to offer honest and true feedback or critique.
I have links to helpful videos on my page if you want to check them out, and I'm here if you ever want to ask questions. No shade, no Pink lemonade.

A lot of things can be audible even on bad speakers. And in fact, a lot of people prefer to mix on bad speakers because they figure well if it sounds good on these crappy speakers then it will probably sound good on anything, and that's usually the case.
Also, I'm not calling your mix or your project mediocre. I never used that word, so don't put that word in my mouth.

Look it up. You want to know how you get your drums to sound fat on every speaker including car speakers? There's a way to do that. There's a way to balance a mix in a way that it comes through accurately on different speaker sizes. No, that doesn't mean you're going to hear your sub base on your cell phone speakers, that's usually just not possible, but usually if you can mix it in such a way, you don't feel like you've lost a lot in the mix.

*sigh* I can tell by your response that you're not good at judging tone. I was not "coming at you". I have very low expectations for music on AT most of the time, and if you read anything about me, you'll see that I'm not really the type of person to put people down intentionally.
I quite literally meant what I said. There is a level of production that can be reached that will allow your product to be listenable on multiple forms of playback.

As for my goal: I am not a professional and don't ever plan to be so, my goal is to experiment and make music I like to hear so I don't stress to hard on making it sound perfect in all formats.
Besides, I don't see how it'd be possible to make a track sound good on everything. Have you ever tried to listen to anything from Mala on a cheap pair of earbuds? The beautiful tracks sound limp unless you listen with something that has some bass!

I know we can't tell tone through typing but that felt like you were coming at me a little hot lol. I was just curious, is all.
I agree that a mediocre mix (which I'd say a majority of my tracks have, unfortunately) is not going to be saved by high quality listening equipment but we both know that there can be a big difference in sound quality and range between different headphones, speakers, etc., that could negatively effect how a track sounds.

First of all, it doesn't matter. I should be able to hear the drums clearly on any device no matter how I'm listening to it. That's just good producing.
Second, I was referring to cell phone speakers, but I'm willing to bet that's not the issue. It doesn't matter where you mix or what you mix on, a good mix is a good mix.
The goal is to have it sound good on everything, not just headphones

Is that with or without headphones? Ever since I moved out of my house and into a tiny apartment right before COVID, I produce my tracks exclusively with headphones so the mix can sound really jank without them.

I appreciate that! I was working on it off and on for over half a year and got tired of messing with it. I may do a remix in a few months when I'm no longer annoyed even hearing the track lol.
The drums and the ambient flow creative stuff.
Drums aren't coming through so well 💀
