Playing a midi of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata.

Not a proper simulation like my other replication project, rather an attempt to fake the sound of a piano.

    Fixed decay

    Added compressor, might remove.

  • Your doing something revolutionary here on AT...

    • I already made a piano, I also made a koto, and an electric Guitar lol

    • Ah awesome idea

      Strategic

      Looking forward to it

    • In a week or two I will be hosting a preset contest to hopefully build up the library of realistic sounds on AT.

Split into 2 synths for per-hand decay control.

  • Very smart, i have been trying to do this in audiotool forever legit. Its super impressive that you got this close of an emulation using only one synth. Good stuff!

  • That's pretty cool. Good idea with the narrow-banding - avoids some problems in sound design (cheater :P).

Main problem: the decay of the higher notes needs to be a lot shorter.

I was only able to create a piano that sounds almost good in 1-2 octaves when playing chords.

  • cool. sounds like if it comes from the neighbour room

    • Near 100% wet mix on the reverb gives it that effect, as well as covering imperfections nicely. I might add a short second part that has the reverb off just for comparison.
