Fast forward to today, when there are a bunch of accounts 'disguised' as celebrities for the sole purpose of canceling online daters and catfishers
I mean I understand the reason behind it, it's just kinda funny
I'd like to take a second to tell you guys a little bit about what's going on with some of the members of the bass music community.
Cancel culture is not something I thought would ever be on audiotool, but after the entire incident with Akiri and the rapid decline of Kathwaii, it took another incident for me to wake up and try to do something about it. One of my good friends's exes is now on audiotool, for the sole purpose of getting him either banned or hurt in some other way. Already, there have been signs of this starting. She's even said it herself.
This isn't ok. I feel like audiotool is supposed to be this safe place where you and your friends can create and enjoy yourself. When I joined, that's exactly what it was. It was a creative paradise. The only "drama" that was even present was little feuds that people would have and then forget about a few weeks later. It was bad, yes. But it was something that you could ignore, because there wasn't that much menace behind it, and there weren't actual consequences to it.
Fast forward to today. There are people being bullied and harassed into quitting, either for things that they haven't done, or things that happened a year ago. Yes, you can still criticize others for what they've done in the past. But I think that when the person is actively trying to change, and when that person is incredibly remorseful of what happened, then you should at the very least ignore them and never talk to them again. That's it. It should be that simple.
I'm very adamant that if this trend continues like it is, someone is going to end up hurt. And I don't know if I can take that. Yes, if you did something bad, you should be punished, and I 100% agree with that. But there are limits.
I'll probably get hate for this. I honestly do not give a single shit, and if you refuse to even try to see my point, you're part of the problem. This shit should have been kept in discord dms.

Listen. I have not a fucking idea what #pulvgang or #heisengang was, or whatever the fuck is going on, but what I've heard by reading all of this is just absurd. Why not avoid it all in the first place? Why did a shitstorm or pointless rage and anger get stirred up? I've always known audiotool as this amazing site with amazing people, and now this? Not pointing fingers, but gay harassment and autism jokes? As a person with autism, this really cuts me deep. This NEEDS TO STOP.

gonna defend my boy CC here, he didn't do either of those things. it's super obvious that he meant no harm in what he put on his wall, and its really just a word that people use. yeah you're using it in a derogatory way, that's the joke. some people just use it and they don't really know why, its just a cultural thing i suppose
one thing i do know? hes never said anything about people with autism. if he has, post it on my wall, i'd love to see it.

This all could have been avoided, but instead, this insanity began evolving into fighting, then harassment, then cyber-bullying. We as a team need to work this out before someone gets HURT. And I don't mean that in a threatening way, but what I mean by that is people don't know what others' breaking points are. I haven't witnessed much of it, but during some of my lowest points, i was really considering suicide. I hate how it takes something to actually happen for people to assess it.

When things like this happen please mute and report harrassing users. It's better when a moderator takes care of them than an open war on walls and tracks. We have the tools to handle situtions like these in a emotainally neutral way and prevent escalation

anyways her server is literally anarchy, but it works. everyone there is either bored or depressed, but it's a good a group, you might fit in well. lisset is just very selective and she stresses it's not kid friendly.

I actually think the mods do their best in the matter, which is partly nothing. This site is big for a few people that manage it, it would be unimaginably time consuming imo.

Can i weigh in? As someone who has literally never been part of any drama on AT, the simplest, and best advice I can give is just; ignore it. This is a site for making friends, learning about and making tunes of whatever genre, and any drama or negativity is simply not needed at all. If you have beef with whoever, just dm them on discord or insta or whatever and talk it out. Cancel culture, arguments and diss tracks are so petty and totally impractical to solving any disagreements.

quite a few people nowadays get offended quite easily in my opinion, which is fine and completely natural, but telling everybody, convincing and spreading it only feeds cancel cultures and such. I think it is better to just keep your mouth shut and perhaps only hurt the person in your mind, if its really bad (not meant seriously) or just think it over before writing something or telling sth instictively. If you dont like the person and they cant be spoken normally with, its not worth your energy

There are very few things I hate worse than drama.
Audiotool really used to not have this much toxicity. Near the beginning of when I came here, AT had a couple toxic kids here and there but in general it was pretty wholesome. I'm not trying to say everything that transpires on AT is toxic nowdays, I'm just saying we've lost something over the few years I've been here that I actually believe we can get back if we just try.

lets just start with the facts. Most school computers prevent downloads, audiotool is online, and is unblocked pretty much anywhere. People who get school computers are usually under the age 18 and I imagine most people would use this during class which is an immature action, therefore thats probably alot of the people on this site
