diary is a type of genre that is heavily focused on the mixture of insp. anime ost melodies (Your Lie in April osts for example), with pluggnb influenced drums. Diary differs but in is somewhat similar from pluggnb because the melodies and sounds are further more complex than the average plugg track, IMO.

HOW TO MAKE DIARY/WARHEART

first, ya wanna start out w/ some very calm, sad-toned chords that sound like sad anime chords

I would recommend Heisenberg for the main chords

add a high-pitched string that fairly complements the main chord mel (it up 2 u)

I would recommend Space for this one.

Add an INSANE main lead to make the song pop out (boring lead = boring song). Put your main lead in legato mode and make sure your lead has an exciter on it so it won't drown out into the song

OPTIONAL: Add a groovy background mel that also complements (I prefer the background melodies to be in triplets, but it is up 2 u)

You can use any synthesiser idk

the drums are easy, if you know trap drum placement on the machiniste, and are good at mixing drums, you are good lol.
